Alexis Brutman started taking freelance web design contracts in the summer of 2013. Realizing how important it was to expand her knowledge in the field, she started taking classes in the Fall of 2013 at Harrisburg Area Community College in pursuit of a degree in web development. Before entering the web field, Alexis was a veterinary technician for several years. She eventually hit a crossroads where in order to have a stable career, she had to either go to veterinary school, or choose a new career. Knowing that a career in web would be an ever-growing, ever-changing adventure in learning new skills, the choice was easy. She managed a 3.92 GPA while in attendance at HACC, and started working as a programmer after graduation.
Alexis has a beautiful five year old daughter named Acacia. Together, Acacia and Alexis started their own animal rescue specializing in the rescue and rehoming of wayward cats. Alexis currently has a working partnership with Dusty Hope, a graphic fashion print designer, web designer and owner of Dusty Hope Designs out of New York, NY. They have collaborated on several projects to date, and plan to continue into the future.
